Explaining Seventh Hill CBD Products

Whether you are a total newbie to the CBD-world or an experienced cannabis-enthusiast, I promise we have just the thing for you. By selectively choosing the right cannabinoid + terpene profile, you can find a CBD candy with unique effects and benefits that are exactly what you’re looking for. Cannabinoids? Terpenes? Don’t worry- by the end of this blog you will fully understand all these different terms and variables in choosing the best CBD product for you.
Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds in the cannabis plant that receive the most credit for the plants medicinal properties. There are hundreds of cannabinoids within the cannabis/hemp plant but as of now, most products only utilize 1-10 of these compounds; CBD and Delta 9 THC being the most popular. A products potency is measured by its overall cannabinoid content. For example, when a CBD Oil has 500 mg, that means that within that bottle there are 500 mg’s of CBD. There are tons of cannabinoids on the market these days, but study after study shows cannabinoids are consistently better when used in conjunction with one another vs. when isolated. Whether you’re looking for CBD for anxiety, CBN for sleep, or THC for pain- they will always be more effective when strategically paired with one another.
Terpenes are secondary chemical compounds found in cannabis that are also found in pretty much every other botanical plant on earth. If it’s a flower, fruit, herb or spice with any kind of fragrance whatsoever, it has naturally occurring terpenes. If you think of essential oils for example, there are dozens of different terpenes combined to make one type of essential oil. Linalool is a terpene we love here at Seventh Hill and it’s most commonly derived from lavender. Beta Caryophyllene is another favorite and it’s found in tons of spices and herbs, even black pepper! Terpenes are abundant within cannabis flower and it’s what gives each strain their unique effects. When the budtender opens up a jar of flower for you to smell you’re taking a whiff of a beautifully organic blend of terpenes, unique to that strain. Some cannabis flower smells spicy (Beta Caryophyllene) while some can smell sweet (Linalool) and even fruity (Limonene). Each terpene will have its own unique effect on you so it’s important to get familiar with which ones you like and which ones you don’t.
Cannabinoid Profiles
When it comes to cannabinoid profiles there are three major categories: 25:1, 1:1, 2:1. These ratios are referring to the cannabinoid content, measuring the parts of CBD compared to the parts of Delta 9 THC. Let’s break down each of these profiles and talk about their unique effects + benefits.
25:1 Cannabinoid Profile
A 25:1 cannabinoid profile is what we call a Traditional CBD ratio. With 25mg of CBD and 1mg of Delta 9 THC, the effects of the CBD will completely drown out the effects of the THC. In a ratio as skewed as this, the 1mg of THC is simply to enhance the effects of the CBD and give it a little boost. The overall effects from a 25:1 cannabinoid profile is a very clear head, zero feelings of intoxication while still relieving pain and inflammation. The benefits to taking a 25:1 CBD candy is that you do not have to worry about experiencing a heavy body-buzz, this cannabinoid profile won’t weigh you down letting you stay productive. This is the best CBD for folks that have never used CBD before or “don’t want to feel high.” Our Traditional CBD Caramels are a great option for folks looking for this kind of relief as well as our CBD Oils.
2:1 Cannabinoid Profile
A 2:1 cannabinoid profile is considered a High Potency ratio. With 2mg of CBD to every 1mg of Delta 9 THC, this ratio is much more potent than our Traditional CBD profile. The effects of a 2:1 ratio are a much heavier head and body buzz. Since there is still twice as much CBD as there is THC, the effects of the CBD will be more dominant than the effects of the THC. This kind of ratio can help keep your head clear but has significant euphoric effects and can feel heavy on the body especially if you enjoy a piece of our Extra Potent 2:1 Unwind Caramel. This kind of ratio is not for someone brand new to the CBD world, I would recommend this product to someone who is well-experienced with cannabis. To learn more about whether a 2:1 product is right for you, check out this blog.
1:1 Cannabinoid Profile
A 1:1 cannabinoid profile is the most potent CBD product we make. With equal parts CBD and THC, your systems receptors are equally effected by these two cannabinoids which makes you feel them both to their fullest potential. This profile is going to be very potent. This kind of profile is one I would recommend to longtime cannabis users looking to take a cannabis tolerance-break or just cut back on smoking in general. This is not your grandparents CBD, unless your grandpa is Willie Nelson or perhaps Snoop Dog. The effects will be a very noticeable head buzz, paired with a very pronounced body buzz with either uplifting or relaxing effects depending on which blend you chose. Blend? Don’t worry, we’ll cover that next!

Terpene Profiles
Terpenes are like, the soul of your cannabis experience. They also have miraculous medicinal properties that contribute to cannabis’ ability to fight anxiety, pain, infections, and even cancer. Terpenes are what make the experience either fun, relaxing, inspiring, or maybe you get mixed up with the wrong terpenes and you end up super anxious.. these things happen. But do not worry, we got you. We went ahead and did the research, found the best of the best naturally sourced terpenes, and made them into their own unique magical blends to give you the exact effects you want, when you want them.
Our Unique Terpene Blends
For years the industry has predicted a plants effects based off its name or lineage but nowadays, we know better: it’s all about the terpenes. Using isolated terpenes derived from organic botanical sources, we’ve cultivated our own terpene blends to give our products their consistent and reliable effects. Think of it like indica vs. sativa but more consistent and science-based.
